As a follow on from our recent Daytona 2.4 comes the slightly shorter Sebring 1.2 Hour race
This race will provisionally use the same builds as Daytona, but a BoP (Balance of Performance) will be in place and if a car is found to be too quick with this build set then measures will be taken to restore equilibrium for a balanced and competitive field.
The race will take place on Friday 13th March. There will be a 15min qualifying session before the race, this will start at 2230 (UK) exactly regardless of who's there or not. It's a long enough race after all to make up ground should you miss qualifying. Whilst there is usually a 5 hour time gap between the UK and East Coast USA, due to a clock change in the USA on March 8th reducing it to 4 hours until March 29th when the UK clocks change
The race will then begin at 2300 and will be the equivalent of laps to 1.2 hours and will be run during the day time track scenario. The race will start immediately, once the countdown timer says the race starts that is when we go, there will be no waiting on the grid, no warm up lap - if there are any issues regarding lack of sounds or cars not loading in correctly then we will restart the lobby as this would be required regardless.
If there's a safety car called on the opening lap then the leader of the race will keep to 60mph, damaged cars may pass the pack safely but must re-join at the back of the pack once it has passed the pit lane exit. We will then restart the race once the pack has reformed with a rolling restart at the start/finish line. After the opening laps are completed there will be no more safety cars unless there is a crash leaving cars stranded on the circuit.
There will be 2 mandatory pit stops for all cars, anyone needing to pit under the safety car due to damage will need to take an extra stop. This is not negotiable
Certain assists will be turned OFF - Stability control, Friction Assist
Certain assists that are allowed - Traction Control ABS, Suggested Line can be on, Shifting and Steering any mode whilst damage will be FULL SIMULATION
To prevent it becoming a single make race I'm capping each car to a maximum of 3 - with 14 cars available there should be one out there you like. All sign ups below will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Cars used for the Daytona 2.4 are fine to use but you must still register, you are not guaranteed to use it if the car is fully allocated before you register. Please check paint requirements to ensure your car is eligible
There will be 2 parties, 1 hoste dby myself and the second by SVR Twitch, be sure to add us both and ask for a party invite if you're unable to get into one of parties.
