This will be a one off event, held at the Silverstone using the full Grand Prix layout, it will be a lapped race lasting the equivalent to 90minutes. It will be held on April 19th, starting at 2300 GMT (1800 EDT)
With so many cars available there will be no restrictions on availability in either class, and other GT cars will be added to the available list between now and race day. If you have any suggestions with cars/builds then please share them with myself, they do not need to be strictly GT cars either, cars like the Radical RXC Turbo, Aston Martin Vulcan, McLaren Senna will also be considered for this event if a balance can be found. This will be used as a chance for racers entering the AX2R BTCC to test their cars before the season starts (or try another car altogether) but the TCC list of cars will not be added to, and fans of GT racing get the chance to race in an organised event in a split class format with tried, tested and balanced cars*
Driver aids banned - TCS, STM, Friction assist
Driver aids allowed - ABS, Suggested lines, track limit markers and full simulation damage will be on
There will be a brief 4 lap qualifying session to determine the grid order, which will be ghosted, clean laps will always take preference to dirty laps regardless of which class you are in. If you are in a GT car and your lap is dirty you will start behind all the racers with a clean lap even if they're in the slower TCC cars.
The race will begin shortly after qualifying, there will be a partial warm up lap to allow the TCC cars to warm their tyres. The race will begin at the old pit straights just after Woodcote Corner, with Copse acting as Corner 1 for the start of the race. The pole sitter will hold the pace at 60mph and will be free to accelerate as he hits the line, there must be no overtaking before the line from the following cars
There will be 2 mandatory pit stops to ensure parity across the cars which have extra fuel range to those which do not.
If there is an accident involving 2 or more cars resulting in cars being unable to move (or slowly) then a safety car will be called, ensure good communication with your party host to ensure the call can be made.At this point the field will close up behind the race leader who will hold the pace at 60mph, allowing the damaged cars to return to the pits, they may overtake the pack but must line up behind the train of cars once they have left the pit lane, this may involve waiting at the end of the pit lane for a short while.
The race will finish once the leader crosses the line, there will be a 10 minute end of race timer to ensure all other races have enough time to complete the race and finish their laps
Please ensure you add SVR Twitch (formerly SpartanChief46) to your friends list as he will be hosting the second party. It is up to you which party you join, there will be no set parties for GT / TCC racers

*All builds are subject to change throughout the season to ensure a parity of performance. All changes will be announced, the builds will be updated and each driver affected will be notified
