Nice finish inside the top 20 in the TORA D24 for you mate Thanks, Was just looking at the complete results too. Looks like a close one between our two cars, 23 miles I make it to your advantage? We were in the same lobby as your sister #910 car. Must admit, I didn’t enjoy this years - the GTO cars didn’t seem balanced at all. There was a reason only 1 team picked the Nissan 300ZX (and that was because nobody else picked it, that the NSA squad went with it) it was awful. No power, ok top speed but toon along time to get there, the Audi could match it and the other two blew it away top speed and midrange/acceleration whilst the Audi destroyed it out the corners. Couldn’t battle with it, just had to get clean air and pass people when they made mistakes or in the pits. I ran a stint with GTP braking lines as the lobby glitches and they wouldn’t restart as it had gone past lap 1 when I realised, which wasn’t fun, I’d done no practice with these cars going in to the race besides qualifying so trying to gauge my brake marker was a lottery into the chicane and first corner, made worse when the GTP markers were there but about 100ft beyond where I’d normally have to brake. Ran a very slow stint then and crashed quite a lot as a result. Got rammed out by a prototype as well in one stint and our team leader lagged out in the final one. My final stint was ok, the last one at night (9am for me), started 14th caught and passed DOR Steve, nailed him on the brakes at the second hairpin, then kept the leaders in sight. Caught them but couldn’t pass and when I did they blew straight past me again. Ended up settling for 3rd in class, 7th on the road. Not sure I’d sign up again if they ran these cars once more. How’d yours go? I see two stints with your name on there

Yeah I wasn't happy either as like you pointed out I feel the GTO cars were not balanced and the RX7 nailed me on the straights everytime I passed them in the twisty sections. I love endurance and most if the time you will see me double stunting 9pm to 1am everytime but gotta say I wouldn't run the classic Daytona again not with those builds and some of the GTP cars were jusr ridiculous I was hit in the bus stop chicane (of all places!) By a GTP in my firsr stint and tiredness got the better of me in the second stint where I dozed as I was flying towards the bus stop managed to scrub enough speed off to avoid damage hitting the wall lol. Overall a good night but can't help feeling TORA suffered with what seemed like unnecessary time delays getting lobbies started. Good result for DOR and as a team we are happy finishing well within the top 20 out of 34 GTO teams
