๐ Sebring 1.2 announcement
Final details for the Sebring 1.2 to be held March 16th - 11pm GMT ๐ฌ๐ง 7pm EST ๐บ๐ธ 7am UTC ๐ฆ๐บ
I shall add the paint details first so people hopefully read it and take note - that means YOU Hoggy
If you're wanting to paint your own, then please use the latest IMSA number boards, if anyone has one they've created then please share details below with best sizes to match the ones Iโve listed. Until then, the best example I've found is one by F0rcella called 'IMSA Numb. Board' which can be found on the search function of the vinyl page. This is a red IMSA WeatherTech number board. Make sure you resize it to 0.25, there must be a number board on each side of the car (any point between the wheels) and one on the bonnet/hood (see below for details on the new Porsche RSR). Numbers - use Upper Letter 1 in white only, resized to 0.19 height and 0.19 width (3 digit numbers fit if spaced correctly if using F0rcella's number board). Centre them on the number board, press Right Trigger (RT) on numbers and number board and group them into one vinyl, then copy and paste onto the opposite side and top/roof. On the rear, use just your race numbers without the number board and change colour to suit the car, example pic used with the Corvette using red number on yellow base colour โ these can be resized if there is not enough room on certain cars, applies to GT cars only.
NUMBER BOARD โ RED WeatherTech IMSA
File Name: IMSA Numb. Board
Creator: F0rcella
Size:0.25
Numbers to be used are โUpper Letters 1โ in white. Size: 0.19x0.19
OTHER VINYLS:
File Name: IMSA Class Ident (GTLM or P depending on car class. GTLM needs 3, each side of the car and 1 on the rear, Prototype needs 1 on each side โ see pics)
Creator: F0rcella
Size: 0.07
File Name: IMSA
Creator: Muiry
Size: 0.02
File Name: Cut off logo (circular & triangular logo, to be placed on bonnet/hood of GTLM car, anywhere near front window on the Prototype)
Creator: Muiry
Size: 0.04
File Name: VP (red/white blue VP Racing Fuel logo to be placed behind rear wheel on both Prototype & GTLM cars)
Creator: Nfs LeGenD7
Size: 0.02
File Name: Continental (Prototype only โ to be placed ahead of front wheel and behind rear wheel โ see pics)
Creator: GT3
Size: 0.06
File Name: Michelin (logo โ GTLMโs only, to be used behind rear wheel on the rear bumper or rear quarter panel and if thereโs space ahead of front wheel, these can be reduced in size at the front or see below if thereโs not enough space - use of Michelin Man. Also, the Porsche team has a habit of running black/white Michelin logos rather than traditional blue/yellow)
Creator: BIGBEN0913
Size: 0.04
File Name: Michelin (man โ GTLMโs only, to be used on front bumper if logo above is too large)
Creator: BXLUNLTD
Size: 0.03
The other mandatory vinyl's are an IMSA logo on the front, which Muiry (Matt) has created and is to be placed on the front bumper or on the bonnet resized to 0.02. Also to be used are tyre suppliers which can be Continental or Michelin depending on car class, and there should be 4 of these, one placed above each wheel (or if they don't fit ahead or the front wheels and behind the rear wheels is acceptable) along with one at the base of the bonnet/hood. There also needs to be a red GTLM logo placed on each side of the car and the rear (see picture in the thread for examples of where to place them and as a size guide)
If you do not want to paint your own design, then there are plenty available on the store front. I suggest typing in IMSA / Daytona / Weathertech / GTLM / GTD or finding a team which races in the series (see list below of teams) and searching for that, ensuring they have a number board which matches the required ones
When it comes to the paint for the Mazda prototype, you can use any manufacturer branding you like - as the IMSA series has several factory DPi entries you can paint them to reflect those cars:
Penske-Acura,
Tequila Patron ESM-Nissan,
Joest-Mazda,
Cadillac - cars from Wayne Taylor Racing (WTR), Whelen Engineering, Mustang Sampling and Spirit of Daytona
... or to be like the various LMP2 cars:
Jackie Chan DC Racing,
Rebellion,
United Autosport,
CORE,
JDC-Miller,
AFS/PR1,
Performance Tech,
BAR1
... or even pick a paint from the WEC LMP2 class, or European Le Mans Series (ELMS), or even the Asian Le Man Series - just ensure they have the correct numberboards for an IMSA race.
Cars with stock paints are eligible on the following:
Mazda Lola B12/80,
Chevrolet Corvette C7.R,
Dodge Viper GTS-R
Ferrari 458 GTLM #62 Risi 2014
ALL THE OTHERS ARE FROM A DIFFERENT SERIES, including Ford GT & Porsche 911 RSR which are WEC, not IMSA.
Once you've found a paint, please screenshot and send to myself or post a picture on this post so others can see what's been taken.

๐ THE EVENT
There will be a 10min qualifying session before the race, this will start at exactly 11pm regardless of who's there or not (providing the lobbies allow unlike last time at Daytona). It's a long enough race after all to make up ground should you miss qualifying. This will be held at night on a ghosted lobby with full damage
The race will be 1.2 hours (or the equivalent amount of laps to 80minutes) and will be run during the day. Once the lobby has been set up, with all drivers ready the race will start immediately once on track and able to go, there is NO warm up lap. If there is a problem which results in a restart being required we will have a warm up lap allowing people to regain their qualifying position (unless the manual grid option is working without issue, cars will form on the grid and we will go on a set time.
๐ If there's a safety car called on the opening lap the leader of the race will keep to 80mph, damaged cars may pass the pack safely but must rejoin at the back of the pack once it has passed the pit lane. We will then restart the race once the pack has reformed with a rolling restart on the line, with cars 2x2 were best possible with no overtaking before the line. The race leader will dictate the pace and he/she may go at any point around the final corner. It is the responsibility of those behind to keep pace, once the leader has accelerated through the final corner they must not slow down to group the pack again.
After the opening laps are completed there will be no more safety cars unless there is a crash leaving cars stranded on the circuit. At which point the same procedure as above will apply
There will be 2 mandatory pit stops, anyone needing to pit under the safety car due to damage will need to take an extra stop. This is not negotiable and names will be noted who pitted during the caution period. If a driver needs to pit due to low fuel/tyre wear under a caution then they can retake their position in the queue but will need to make an extra stop to negate the advantage gained
โ ๏ธ Certain assists will be turned OFF - Traction control, Stability control, Friction Assist
ABS will be allowed, Suggested Line can be on, Shifting and Steering any mode whilst damage will be FULL SIMULATION
To prevent it becoming a single make race I'm capping each car to a maximum of 3 (apart from the Mazda LMP which is mandatory if running in the Prototype class) - with 7 GT cars available there should be one out there you like. All sign ups using the form below will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
As it will be a split class race, if there is not enough demand for the LMP class then more GT cars will be made available. It will be a 24 car grid, with 8 LMP's and 16 GT's.
โ ๏ธ The Porsche 911 RSR seems to have a glitch on the Top/Hood paint, with anything you put on the bonnet part being mirrored, quite a problem especially for the number board. To counter this, put your design onto the side of the car, go to the opposite side and 'insert all from opposite side' which then gives a perfect mirror image. Copy and Paste these mirrored vinyl's onto the bonnet and they should show the correct way, or make your design in the negative/minus range and it should also reverse most images. This only affects the bonnet area, the wings/arches/fenders and roof all seem to be unaffected.
Team ideas for design searches, all of these are previous/current teams from the IMSA United Sportscar Championship. They may not all have replicas created, it is up to you to find them or create it but here's a few to look for. As always, ensure any downloaded designs have the correct number boards

^some may recognise this car/build list from TORA, as it's the week after their race, there should be plenty of paints and tunes available. I will even allow the paints from that race as they run very similar spec to the actual IMSA Series with their numberboard style and saves people having to paint the same car repeatedly especially if they're doing that particular 12 Hour race. As a result the car build will change should TORA's own build spec change.
