π Daytona 2.4 announcement
Final details for the Daytona 2.4 to be held January 26th - 11pm GMT π¬π§ 6pm EST πΊπΈ 7am UTC π¦πΊ
I shall add the paint details first so people hopefully read it and take note.
If you're wanting to paint your own, then please use the latest IMSA numberboard, if anyone has one they've created then please share details below. Until then, the best example I've found is one by Lego33 called 'GTD Number' which can be found on the search function of the vinyl page. Make sure you resize it to 0.11, there must be a numberboard on each side of the car (any point between the wheels) and one on the bonnet/hood (see below for details on the new Porsche RSR)
Numbers - use Upper Letter 1 in white only, resized to 0.21 height and 0.21 width (3 digit numbers fit if spaced correctly if using Lego33 numberboard). Centre them on the numberboard, press Right Trigger (RT) on numbers and numberboard and group them into one vinyl, then copy and paste onto the opposite side and top/roof.
The only other mandatory vinyls are an IMSA logo on the front, our own Muiry (Matt) has created one which is to be placed on the front bumper or on the bonnet resized to 0.03.
Tyre suppliers can be Continental or Michelin, and there must be 4 of these, with one placed each side ahead of the front wheels and behind the rear wheels (see pics below of vinyl style)
If you do not want to paint your own design, then there are plenty available on the store front. I suggest typing in IMSA / Daytona / Weathertech / GTLM / GTD or finding a team which races in the series (see list below of teams) and searching that, ensuring they have a number board which matches (older designs will be allowed and those with red GTLM numberboards too).
Cars with stock paints are eligible on the following:
Audi R8 LMS, Chevrolet Corvette C7.R, Ferrari 458 GTLM #62 Risi 2014, Dodge Viper GTS-R. ALL THE OTHERS ARE FROM A DIFFERENT SERIES, including Ford GT & Porsche 911 RSR which are WEC, not IMSA.
Once you've found a paint, please screenshot and send to myself or post a picture on this so others can see what's been taken.

There will be a 10min qualifying session before the race, this will start at 11pm exactly regardless of who's there or not. It's a long enough race after all to make up ground should you miss qualifying.
The race will be 2.4 hours (or the equivalent amount of laps) and will be run at night. It will be a rolling start so there will be 1 warm up lap with a roll to the line at 80mph with people holding position until the line. Lead car dictates pace but must stay at a steady pace and no excessive gaps to be left to the car ahead.
If there's a safety car called on the opening lap the leader of the race will keep to 80mph, damaged cars may pass the pack safely but must rejoin at the back of the pack once it has passed the pit lane. We will then restart the race once the pack has reformed with a rolling restart on the line. After the opening laps are completed there will be no more safety cars unless there is a crash leaving cars stranded on the circuit.
There will be 3 mandatory pit stops, anyone needing to pit under the safety car due to damage will need to take an extra stop. This is not negotiable
Certain assists will be turned OFF - Traction control, Stability control, Friction Assist
ABS allowed, Suggested Line can be on, Shifting and Steering any mode whilst damage will be FULL SIMULATION
To prevent it becoming a single make race I'm capping each car to a maximum of 4 - with 10 cars available there should be one out there you like. All sign ups below will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
β οΈ The Porsche 911 RSR seems to have a glitch on the Top/Hood paint, with anything you put on the bonnet part being mirrored, quite a problem especially for the numberboard. To counter this, put your design onto the side of the car, go to the opposite side and 'insert all from opposite side' which then gives a perfect mirror image. Copy and Paste these mirrored vinyls onto the bonnet and they should show the correct way, or make your design in the negative/minus range and it should also reverse most images. This only affects the bonnet area, the wings/arches/fenders and roof all seem to be unaffected.
Team ideas for design searches, all are previous/current teams from the IMSA United Sportscar Chanpionship. They may not all have replicas created

Resized to 0.11 created by Lego33 called GTD Number. Using Upper Letter 1 in white resized to 0.21 & 0.21
To be placed anywhere on each side of the car between front and rear wheels
Copied and pasted from the side, to be placed on the bonnet/hood of the car with an IMSA logo on there too, or on the front bumper if preferred
IMSA logo as shared by Muiry, to be placed on the front bumper or on the bonnet if preferred
Continental (or Michelin) tyre logo to be placed ahead of the front wheels on each side
Michelin (or Continental) tyre logo to be placed behind the rear wheels on each side
Some cars do not have room for the longer vinyls at the front so the smaller version like this Michelin 'Mr. Bebendum' are also acceptable
