FMIC V8 Superstars 🏁
With the GT's on a break this weekend, something about some of the cars needing a rebuild after several lap one incidents, I'll be hosting a V8 Superstars Series. It consists exclusively of V8 road cars (not to be mistaken with the Aussie V8 Supercars) based on a real series which was Italian then European based. Cars will be saloons or coupes and will all be tuned to around A700.
I'm finalising the list of cars but it will consist of the likes of Audi RS5, BMW M3, Chrysler 300, Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, Jaguar XFR-S and so on, several of which are pictured below.
The tracks will be random but picked from a list of ones we rarely use for the bigger series of events where possible. Races to be 15-20min long
🚨 Here's the catch 🚨 as this is a one off event with a view to making something more from it later on if it goes well, I will make a set tune with upgrades for each car. Nobody need show up with an unprepared car, they will all be done for you. Each car will be assigned to a person at random, when each person enters the party they will be asked for a number between 1-12 for now depending how many I decide to run with. Every car will have been allocated a number for Race 1 (I'll share this information on the day with another admin who's present in the lobby) and so that then becomes your car for the first race. All you need to do is choose your paint and download the tune I will have already shared for you.
PLEASE PICK A NICE PAINT JOB WITH A RACE THEME - not the first shite you see
There's no need to go and modify/tune your own car beforehand as you may not have be up with that car with the random allocation system.
The same will then be applied to Race 2 (with a different list of car numbers) so you may end up with the same car again, in which case you will get the option to choose again.
E.g., Race 1
1 Camaro
2 Audi
3 Jaguar
4 BMW
5 Chrysler
... and so on
Race 2
1 Audi
2 Jaguar
3 BMW
4 Chrysler
5 Camaro
This way the grid remains varied with only 1 of each car (unless we near a full lobby) nobody gains a specific advantage with their own tunes or choosing potentially the best car. I will balance them as best I can with the time available but I cannot guarantee one won't be better/worse than another.
If this works out well, we could then look at making this more of a series and people can then build their own cars using set upgrades
